The Office of Management and Budget has sponsored through the General Services Administration (GSA) Office of Government-wide Policy (OGP)
a program known as the Federal Program for Information Technology Assessment (FPITA) that can be used to conduct independent assessments in
Federal agencies of IT policy implementations.
These assessments will help agency Chief Information Officers (CIOs) to determine the following:
- Effectiveness of agency implementation and utilization of Federal IT policies.
- Agency’s policy implementation diagnostics.
- Best practices and tools that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of agency or Government-wide policy implementation.
Visit the FPITA Program Overview for additional details and background on the FPITA.
